Week 4 - Chocolate Cakes

Your mission if you choose to accept it is to work as a team to produce Chocolate Cakes. As per usual we will be working against the clock and have therefore got about 20 mins to get the mixture ready to go into the oven. Your team will be marked in three areas, teamwork, resource management and presentation. Below is the ingredients you will need, (do not take more than you need!) And also the instructions. Follow them carefully. And most of have fun

Ingredients:

  1. 1 ¾ Cups Self Raising Flour
  2. 2 tbs cocoa
  3. 1 ¼ cups Castor Sugar
  4. ½ tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
  5. ½ cup melted margarine
  6. 1 cup of milk
  7. ½ tsp vanilla essence
  8. 2 lightly beaten eggs

Instructions:

  1. wash hands
  2. sift together all the top half ingredients into a bowl
  3. melt margarine and beat eggs
  4. add the bottom half of the ingredients
  5. mix for 2 minutes on electric mixer
  6. place cup cake cases into baking tray
  7. scoop mixture into each cup cake case about half way
  8. see me

Handy Hints:

  1. make sure your cup cake cakes are not touching
  2. don’t let margarine burn
  3. keep all used and dirty stuff in one place
