Welcome to camp

An interesting and entertaining piece of prose will go here soon… probably!

Clearly by now you’ll have realised that this witty piece of prose-to-come has not (and will not) be written. Trying to write an introduction to Camp is a hard task! For example you could try to describe the awesome atmosphere, the eclectic entertainment mix, the sporting specials, the life living under canvas or even the character building benefits of duties. However, the only way to know what Camp is like is to actually go on Camp. Though, having said that – no two camps are ever the same, nor is a Camp the same for any two people… who knows what’ll happen this year!

Who is Jesus?
Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the light. No-one comes to the Father except through me.’ [John 14:6]
Why Did Jesus Die?
We know what love is, because Jesus Christ gave his life for us. So we should give our lives for our brothers and sisters. [1 John 3:16]

Did Jesus Really Rise From The Dead?
We believe that Jesus died and rose again. When he returns many who believe in him will have died already. We believe that God will bring them back with Jesus. [1 Thessalonians 4:13]
How To Be Full Of The Spirit
Fathers, suppose your son asks for fish, which of you would give him a snake instead, or suppose he asks for an egg, which of you would give him a scorpion? Even though you are evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children. How much more will your Father who is in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him? [Luke 11:11]

Sold Out To Jesus
Jesus called the crowd to him along with his disciples. He said, ‘If anyone want to come after me, he must say no to himself, he must pick up his cross and follow me.’ [Mark 8:34]
Hanging Out
Don’t fill yourself up with wine, getting drunk will lead to wild living. Instead be filled with the Holy Spirit. [Ephesians 5:18]

Relationships
Don’t you know your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit is in you, you have received Him from God, you do not belong to yourself. [1 Corinthians 6:19]
How To Really Love
You created the deepest parts of my being; You put me together inside my mothers body. How You made me is amazing and wonderful, I praise You for that. What You have done is wonderful, I know that very well. [Psalm 139:13]

The Bible
God has breathed life into all scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right. [2 Timothy 3:16]
Prayer
Don’t worry about anything, instead tell God about everything. Ask and pray. Give thanks to Him. Then God’s peace will wash over your hearts and your minds because you belong to Christ Jesus. God’s peace can never be completely understood. [Philippians 4:6]

Telling Your Mates
So you must go and make disciples of all nations, baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. [Matthew 28:19]
